Aotea Ecology Vision is excited to announce a presentation by Senior Scientist, Todd Landers, on Aotea’s Tākapu (Australasian Gannet) and our island’s resident colony. Join Todd for an evening of interesting dialogue regarding these amazing seabirds and the role they play in our island’s ecology.

 

Description:

In this talk, Todd will present our work on Tākupu, the Australasian Gannet, discussing our longest seabird monitoring project at Muriwai as well as our latest gannet work on Mahuki Island.

Orama will be hosting their ‘Neighbours Night’ evening Kai previous to the talk and kindly invite anyone attending to join for dinner. Koha appreciated. Dinner served at 6pm.

Transport Options:
 
A shuttle service will be provided at 5:30pm for anyone wanting to avoid taking their vehicle down the Orama driveway. Muster at the Cooper’s Castle Track carpark opposite Orama road entry. Another shuttle will depart Cooper’s Castle carpark at 7pm for those only attending the talk. Return shuttle will transfer those back to their vehicles after the event.
